Serving the city of Webster Groves has been an honor, and I relish the opportunity to continue working with our residents, city staff, and city council to shape our future. That is why I am running for reelection in April 2026. I am grateful for your the support I received my last campaign and in my work as Mayor. I am asking for the continued support of our community today.
Over my term in office, we have celebrated some great wins for our city. The passage of Proposition W means a transformation of our park and recreation space. The new water park, the crown jewel of Prop W projects, opened on time and under budget. Additional projects are underway right now, including a long overdue ice surface replacement and new park restrooms. Our business districts are thriving. We have fully staffed police and fire departments. We have expanded public engagement and transparency through more robust communication on social media platforms, surveys, public events, and quarterly “coffee with the Mayor” gatherings. Our boards and commissions are more active than ever. We have partnerships with St. Louis County that will lead to major infrastructure improvements along Laclede Station Road and Big Bend Boulevard. Finally, we received a $2.2 million federal grant to develop and test a variety of strategies to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety. This was the largest of the 38 grants awarded in Missouri. Recently, I hosted the first ever Webster Groves Youth Summit in partnership with Webster Groves and Nerinx High Schools.
We’ve done an extraordinary amount of planning in the last three years. We looked to the future through our first-ever Strategic Plan and will shortly adopt a Comprehensive Plan (a broad vision and strategy for our growth, development, and land use), which hasn’t been done for 48 years. We adopted a Stormwater Management Plan, a critical step as climate change brings heavier rains incompatible with our infrastructure. We adopted our first ever Sustainability Plan, Forever Webster Groves. Every one of these plans was created with public engagement—public meetings, surveys, board and commission input—to ensure that they reflect the preferences of our community.
While planning is necessary and important, a plan is beneficial only if it is implemented with a focus on efficiency, equity and adaptability. That is why I would like your support in my race for a second term. I have the experience, skill and temperament to lead our city as we work to realize the vision of the plans we’ve made. We won’t get it all accomplished in the next four years. But if we create a strong implementation framework and commit to action, and continue the transparency and engagement with residents that helps us troubleshoot and resolve issues as they emerge, we will be well on our way.
Here is the part you knew was coming. Campaigns are expensive, even for local office. I need your help! Please use the link below to donate to my campaign.
Thank you again for your support of me and of Webster Groves.
Sincerely,
